educational tours & programs

The Kentucky Music Hall of Fame and Museum has set forth a goal to be an educational source for anyone desiring to increase their knowledge of Kentucky’s music history and music fundamentals in general.

At this time we have in place a Teacher’s Study Guide and Education Packet for the purpose of preparing the minds of students who will be visiting the Hall of Fame and utilizing the educational points it offers. The Study Guide is available to download for your use.

In addition to the Study Guide, The Kentucky Music Hall of Fame and Museum offers a Music Residency Program.  Chris Mullins, Resident Musician, makes visits to classrooms across Kentucky explaining the similarities and differences of instruments and the various types of music represented at the Museum.
A skilled musician, Chris demonstrates country, rock, traditional, classical, bluegrass and multicultural music on a variety of stringed instruments.  Chris also works with students in developing their own music compositions giving students a sense of creativity, history and career opportunities in the music industry.

Anyone interested in attending a workshop pertaining to songwriting, singing, or any particular instrument;
can contact the Hall of Fame for details.
